New website features
We have added two new features to the customer portal
Secure online debit\credit card payments
Customers can now login to the customer portal and make account payments using their debit\credit card. Payments are handled by the UK based payments provider Protx - http://www.protx.com. This service can be used to make account payments and also to release any broadband caps.
Instant broadband cap-removal
It is now possible to remove the broadband cap instantly from within the customer portal. The system will advise how much it will cost and provide the customer with three choices;
- Instant removal when the payment is made using debit\credit card
- Instant removal when the customer pays using direct-debit
- Standard, next-working day request

NGN ADSL Rollout (8Mbps)
As part of Manx-Telecom's NGN (Next Generation Network) , Manx Telecom will be upgrading all DSLAMs (ADSL Exchanges) on the Island to 8Mbps.
The update schedule is set out below, please note these are the dates supplied by Manx-Telecom.

Wi-Manx are pleased to announce a reduction in the cost of our residential broadband products. This is to continue with our goal of increasing ADSL uptake on the Island whilst lowering the cost of broadband and telecoms.

8Mbps ADSL Migration
Manx Telecom are currently in the process of upgrading all their exchanges to support 8Mbps ADSL. All Wi-Manx customers will automatically benefit from this upgrade as and when the necessary exchanges are upgraded.
Manx Telecom haven't issued a firm upgrade schedule although customers will be notified by way of a Public Notice in the local papers. Wi-Manx will also inform customers with service bulletins and news articles on our website.
